For CrossRythyms

A year after her previous CD 'Ribbons And Pearls', California's Miss Kristin returns with a disc of mainly love songs. Her distinctive vocal delivery is very difficult to describe to someone not familiar with her work, but I would tentatively suggest as somewhere between Marilyn Baker and Carly Simon! All songs are self written and the lady also plays many of the instruments. To my ears there are certainly strong tracks here, ''Tangled Up In Blue'' is an infectious song that sticks with you, "Agony And Ecstasy" displays some very interesting songwriting exploring the bittersweet experience of being in love and "Fall Away" is a lively track with more than a nod to '80s pop rock.
 A rewarding listen from a hard-to-classify singer.

RIBBONS AND PEARLS
BIG FUSS RECORDS

The fourth of Californian Miss Kristin's releases, 'Ribbons And Pearls' is a compilation of honest songs that attempt to deal with some of the pains of life, yet in no way is this recording lacking in cheer. Musically this recording has an up-beat sound; every song has a different feel to it with a constant twist of cheer throughout. With songs like "One House Divided" as well as "Ribbons And Pearls". There is a lot of good use of harmony within this album ...

MISS KRISTIN-TROUBLE CHILD
2 HIGH 2 DIE RECORDS

California singer/songwriter Miss Kristen blends snappy pop and folk rock with lyrics upbeat and poignant. Her sweet voice has a unique timbre, with inflections nodding towards a mix of Natalie Merchant, Ann Wilson and maybe a bit of Juice Newton. Solidly unpretentious and enjoyable music.

MISS KRISTIN – YOU CAN'T HIDE LOVE! You Can't Hide Love! is the latest release from singer, songwriter, guitarist and keyboard player, Miss Kristin. This multi-talented lady has been inspired and compared to 4 Non Blondes Linda Perry and Grace Slick. Miss Kristin is a strong singer and has full command of her music. Miss Kristin's music is a blend of progressive modern pop with plenty of rock. She has a sultry voice and brings power and passion to her lyrics. Diversity of style and moods combined with thought provoking lyrics makes her second release a strong one. Miss Kristin is an impressive, versatile vocalist and she shines on You Can't Hide Love!.
